Introducing 'Cubism' - our collection of two exclusive S&B designed, hand painted linen tablecloths.

Aside from the fact we love abstract art, when the Cubism movement was launched in 1907 by the likes of Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso, it was a revolutionary new approach to representing reality.

Here's to challenging the status quo, having a unique point of view that people don't always understand, and putting old things together in exciting new ways.

Use this stunning, hand painted linen tablecloth to bring a sense of sophistication and add an elegant pop of colour to any meal.

Size

A 160cm x 380cm tablecloth will fit between ten and twelve people around the table.

Care Instructions

Wash at up to 60 degrees on a regular cycle (avoid “eco” or longer cycles). Never soak for longer than 10 minutes and avoid using Vanish and other whitening products. Tumble dry at 70 degrees for a soft effect, and 90 degrees for a more crushed finish. We don't recommend ironing the full cloth in order to keep the linen’s lovely crumpled texture intact, but we do like to iron the edges to give it a sharper edge.

Delivery & Returns

We care very much about the products we sell and the service that we offer. However, if you would like to return any items that you have purchased from us, we will be happy to replace a product or issue a refund provided it is returned unused, unopened, in perfect condition (including the product packaging) and remains in a re-saleable condition. For more information, please see our return policy.

About Us

Founded by June Summerill and Bernadette Bishop, two great friends with a truly effortless and unique sense of style, Summerill & Bishop first opened its doors on 18th May, 1994 in Holland Park, and has remained on the same quiet, leafy corner of Clarendon Cross ever since.

Fantastic home cooks and entertainers both, June and Bernadette were frustrated with the offerings at most kitchen and tableware shops at the time, and with the lack of personality and intimacy, so they decided to create one of their own, where beauty and functionality would both be key.

To commemorate Bernadette's passing, S&B trademarked her signature flower design and designed a beautiful line of linens which launched in Sept 2015. And that is how S&B decided to focus on table linen - the fabric of life.

At Summerill & Bishop we believe that if people take the time to lay the table and present a meal beautifully, they'll enjoy it all the more and create a lasting memory for those who share it with them.

For us, laying the table is an art form that we can all master at home and is one of the simplest ways to tell someone what they mean to you. The table isn't just a place to pass food, you pass tradition, memory, and love, too. Read our full story here...

The story

S&B fans will know that it is our mission in life to get everyone back to the family table. Laughing, arguing, confessing - whatever shape it comes in, we believe that so long as you're all together it doesn't really matter. Our tablecloths play a role in that. Quite simply, a beautiful tablescape draws people to it. Aside from the fact we love abstract art (we dare you not to dig Picasso) when the Cubism movement was launched in 1907 by the likes of Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso, it was a revolutionary new approach to representing reality. These paintings offered a completely different point of view. Familiar objects and figures came together in exciting new ways, and the results were fragmented, a little confusing and in our humble opinion, utterly beautiful. Here's to challenging the status quo, having a unique point of view that people don't always understand, and putting old things together in exciting new ways.
