Abstract Thinking

[Abstract Thinking]

Regular readers will know that it is our mission in life to get everyone back to the family table. Laughing, arguing, confessing - whatever shape it comes in, we believe that so long as you're all together it doesn't really matter. Our tablecloths play a role in that.

Quite simply, a beautiful tablescape draws people to it.

At a time when we're all more insular than ever, plugged into the tiny computers we carry in our back pockets, our idea is almost...revolutionary.

So what does this have to do with Cubism, the inspiration behind our latest tablecloth design?
Aside from the fact we love abstract art (we dare you not to dig Picasso) when the Cubism movement was launched in 1907 by the likes of Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso, it was a revolutionary new approach to representing reality.

These paintings offered a completely different point of view. Familiar objects and figures came together in exciting new ways, and the results were fragmented, a little confusing and in our humble opinion, utterly beautiful.

Here's to challenging the status quo.
Having a unique point of view that people don't always understand.
And putting old things together in exciting new ways.

Enjoy.

Love, S&B
