  • Do you offer trade accounts or discounts for designers?

    We are proud to work closely with many interior designers on bespoke projects for their clients. If you’re a design professional, we’d be delighted to support your work through a dedicated trade account. Please contact customerservice@summerillandbishop.com for more details.

    Our table linens and tableware are handcrafted in small batches by artisans around the world, making each piece uniquely special. We offer a trade discount of 10%, applicable after an initial spend of £5,000. We understand that every project is different, so please do get in touch - we’d love to see how we can assist you.

  • What size tablecloth should I choose?

    With so many beautiful linens to explore, we understand that selecting the right size can feel overwhelming. Most of our designs are tailored for rectangular tables (which also work well on oval tables), and are available in three standard sizes:

    ​•​165 x 250 cm / 65 x 98 in

    ​•​165 x 300 cm / 65 x 118 in

    ​•​165 x 380 cm / 65 x 150 in

    To find the right fit:

    ​Step 1: Measure the length and width of your table, then add 30–40 cm to each side (a total of 60–80 cm added to the overall dimensions). For example, a table measuring 100 x 180 cm pairs beautifully with our 165 x 250 cm tablecloth. Please be aware that if your table extends, it might be worth getting the next size up to have the tablecloth be versatile for larger gatherings or get two different sizes for all occasions! 

    ​Step 2: When choosing a tablecloth, think about your dining room décor as well as your favourite dinnerware. Your tablecloth is the harmonising note in this melody and so should unite all the elements, much like the perfect dinner party, where all the guests are brought together. If you’d like one of our experts help in building your tablescape, from colours to scent pairings, we’d be delighted to assist.

  • Do you offer tablecloths for round, square, or oval tables?

    
Yes, we do. Every table is unique, and we offer tablecloths in rectangular, round, round occasional, and square formats. We’re always happy to provide guidance to help you find the perfect fit.

    In addition to our standard sizes, we also offer a bespoke, made-to-measure service—tailored precisely to your table and personal style. Our hand-painted collections—including Full FieldCorniceFalling Flowers, InkEdgeWords, and Falling Stars—can all be customised to your specifications.

  • What are your care and washing instructions for your linens?

    All our linens are crafted from pure linen, combining beauty with practicality. They are machine washable and designed to maintain their elegance through everyday use.

     

    We recommend washing at 40 to 60 degrees Celsius on a standard machine cycle, using your preferred detergent and conditioner. Please avoid cold washes or extended eco cycles.

     

    For our hand-painted linens, never soak the fabric for more than ten minutes in water - whether hot or cold. For stains, apply soap directly to the fabric, leave for five minutes, then wash on a normal cycle. Avoid using stain removers or whitening products such as Vanish, as these can leave a pale residue and may cause the colours to fade or run.

     

    Tumble drying is encouraged to achieve a beautifully soft, crushed linen look. We suggest drying at 70 degrees Celsius for a gentle finish or 90 degrees for a more pronounced texture.

     

    For ironing, we recommend only pressing the edges to preserve the natural, relaxed character of the fabric, which adds exquisite texture to your tablescape.

  • Out of Stock and Pre-Order

    Many of our tableware and homeware pieces are handcrafted in limited batches. While some items may occasionally be out of stock, we are pleased to offer a pre-order service to ensure your chosen pieces are reserved just for you.

     

    You may also register for restock notifications, and we will contact you as soon as new stock arrives.

Each piece is thoughtfully selected for its beauty and delicate craftsmanship. We recommend hand washing to preserve their pristine condition, as every modern heirloom deserves a little extra care.

    Our table linens, tableware, and homeware are chosen for their timeless appeal rather than seasonal trends. As such, we do not hold seasonal sales, but we do offer a limited trade discount programme. Additionally, we host an annual sample sale and occasional promotional events throughout the year.

  • Delivery and Shipping

    Nothing delights us more than sending our beautiful items to new homes worldwide. Please contact us with your desired items and delivery location. We will provide a tailored shipping quote and organize delivery with trusted couriers who ensure your delicate order arrives safely and fully insured.

  • Will there be additional duties, taxes, or tariffs payable on my purchase?

    For international orders outside the United Kingdom, you may be liable for import duties, taxes, or tariffs upon delivery. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient. Please note that these fees are not included in your order total. Check with your local customs office for further details.

  • Order Confirmation and Dispatch

    You will receive an automated email confirming your order has been received and is being processed, followed by a second email once it has been dispatched.

  • In Store Collection

    You may select Collect in Store at checkout for free collection from either of our London boutiques.

  • Accepted Payment Methods

    We accept Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Switch, Maestro, Solo, American Express, and PayPal. All payments are in pounds sterling (£). Cheques are not accepted.

  • Do your prices include VAT?

    Yes, all product prices shown on our website include VAT (sales tax) where applicable.

  • When will my card be charged?

    Your card will be charged immediately upon placing your order.

  • Can I change my delivery address after placing my order?

    If you need to update your delivery address, please contact us immediately at +44 (0) 207 221 4566 or customerservice@summerillandbishop.com. Kindly provide your order number along with the correct shipping details. Please note that once your order has been dispatched, we are unable to make any changes to the delivery address.

  • Can I choose a different delivery address to the billing address?

    You may choose a different shipping address from your billing address during checkout.

  • Will someone need to sign for the delivery?

    All deliveries require a signature upon receiptas proof of delivery.

  • Can I return a gift item?

    If you are returning a present we will have to refund the person who paid for it. We are happy to offer an exchange on your gift but we will also have to inform the original purchaser. For further information on how to return an item please click here.

  • If an item is faulty / damaged whom should I contact?

    We care very much about the products we sell and take great care to ensure you receive your goods in perfect condition. However, if the goods are damaged or faulty please contact us on customerservice@summerillandbishop.com or +44 (0) 207 221 4566 within 7 days.

  • You have sent me the wrong item

    Please contact us as soon as possible at customerservice@summerillandbishop.com or by calling +44 (0) 207 221 4566.

    Kindly return the item to us in its original packaging. Once we have received it, we will send you the correct item and reimburse any shipping costs you incurred in returning the incorrect one.

  • How long does it take to process returns and receive my refund?

    Provided the returned item meets our refund criteria, please allow up to 7 working days for your return to be processed and the amount to be credited to your original payment method.

  • Who covers the cost of return postage?

    If you are returning an item for a refund, you will be responsible for the cost of returning it to us. We will refund the value of the returned item(s), excluding the original delivery charge.

    Please note, return postage costs are non-refundable.

  • I have returned an item. How long will a replacement or exchange take to arrive?

    Once we have received and processed your return, and if the requested item is in stock, you can expect your replacement or exchange to arrive within 7 working days.
