Dressing Up

Dressing Up

In building your wardrobe, there are a number of classic investment pieces you can never go wrong with, like the Hermes "Kelly" handbag or the iconic Chanel jacket. In a similar vein, we're invested in building the tabletop wardrobe with a mix of understated, classic linens and bold, daring statement pieces for special occasions—an extension of your own closet, if you will. Think of our SS'16 collection as S&B's own take on the Chanel jacket: A quartet of iconic styles in candy coloured hues that will give the table that timelessly cool look for years to come.

[Presenting Les Petit Fours]

To create our newest collection, we tracked down Malhia Kent, one of the original textile manufacturers that worked with Coco Chanel to produce many of her unmistakable tweeds, and that continues to make the fabrics for many of today's major fashion houses. Hand-woven on one of just two specialist looms left in the world, our bold and bright fabric has a wonderfully rich, textured feel that is achieved with layer upon layer of silk ribbon, raffia, gold and silver thread, and more. For extra effect, we chose thick, equally embellished trims and fringes for all the edges.
