Azulejos
Upon first glance, you may consider Portuguese Azulejos to be merely beautiful, ornate and elaborate. Their blue and white glaze glistening as the sunshine reflects from their surface, arranged in striking geometric formation. However, they are more than a decorative feature. The mosaics are created specifically for the architecture which they adorn, meaning their design elements are specific to each building. We were inspired by this dedication to craftsmanship and so created our own Azulejos with subtle nods to the Summerill & Bishop heritage.
