A Postcard from Ravello

A Postcard from Ravello

The Amalfi Coast,  a picture perfect region that wraps around Italy's southern cliffs, is a bucket list locale for good reason. Its roads wind freely, the sparkling water of the Tyrrhenian Sea is blue and beckoning, the pasta is plentiful and the citrus groves are plump with prodigious lemons. La dolce vita lives here.

The destination  du jour is hilltop hamlet Ravello, which is home to a magnificent 12th-century property that sits proudly at the top of the hill. Known as the pink palace, the iconic Palazzo Avino, which opened in 1997, is run by sisters Mariella and Attilia Avino. Their remarkable sense of detail and style is evident throughout; emphasising the historical pedigree of the property and its old-world charm with colourful, creative accents by local artisans. The Avino's story reminds us of our own powerhouse sister act, June and Bernadette, who may have not been related, but who were definitely sisters. Two sets of women who share a unique understanding of hospitality and a single-minded vision for what they want their business to be.

The Palazzo's fantastically named boutique 'The Pink Closet' is our latest fabulous stockist, showcasing a range of S&B pink linens within a perfectly curated jewel box of a shop. So, what better excuse for us to visit this week and whilst there, take some shots to celebrate.

So, let let us whisk you away to the hills of Ravello and Palazzo Avino...

Love,
S&B
