There is something so telling about the objects we choose to live with. The way they hold memory, tell stories and shape the rituals of our days.

We are delighted to introduce new decoupage collections by John Derian, now arrived with us at Summerill & Bishop. Each piece begins its life in fragments: age old prints, hand selected for their beauty and curiosity, then carefully cut, arranged and sealed beneath a layer of glass. What emerges feels both intimate and expansive, a small world, held in the palm of your hand.

Flowers that never fade. Butterflies suspended mid-flight. Faded maps, delicate scripts and forgotten illustrations brought back into conversation. There is a tenderness to these works, a sense that time itself has been lovingly preserved.

These are pieces to live with. A plate propped on a shelf, catching the afternoon sun. A tray that turns even the simplest offering, coffee, a slice of cake into a thoughtful moment. They invite pause and in doing so, they remind us how much beauty can be found in the everyday.
