Le Menu – An icon in the world of gastronomy.

This beautiful napkin is made from 100% linen and features some of our favourite dishes from the iconic and timeless menu of arguably the world’s most famous inn, La Colombe d’Or.

The bright colours of the menu sit on a slightly off white background – and add the perfect accent for any summer meal.

Create the romanticism of La Colombe at your own table, just add a bottle of Rosé and you are set…

Matching Tablecloth available.

Wash at up to 60 degrees on a regular cycle (avoid “eco” or longer cycles).
Never soak for longer than 10 minutes and avoid using Vanish and other whitening products.
Tumble dry at 70 degrees for a soft effect, and 90 degrees for a more crushed finish.
We don't recommend ironing the full napkin in order to keep the linen’s lovely crumpled texture intact, but we do like to iron the edges to give it a sharper edge.

50cm x 50cm / 20 x 20 In.

The Story

Opened in 1920, La Colombe d‘Or is known all over the world - a magical place, where the Provençal art of living is associated with an astonishing private collection of art.
But for S&B it is so much more. A place so close to our hearts (our co-founder June can be found there most days when she is in her nearby home) – a place of warmth and hospitality that shares so many of our own values.
Over the decades, the Roux family, who have preserved the secret of this unique inn, have seen its destiny associated with that of exceptional figures such as Pablo Picasso, Jacques Prevert, Yves Mobtand, Matisse, Braque, Leger, Calder, James Baldwin and so many other writers and actors.
As they say, if only those walls could talk … but even more so if only that iconic menu could talk. Instantly recognizable for anyone who has experienced La Colombe for themselves … the magic of all those hands the menu has passed through imbues it with a history of its own – next year 100 years of laughter, merriment, and stories that will never leave those walls.
