New for Autumn, this special edition fine Italian linen napkin is designed to commemorate our co-founder Bernadette Bishop, and comes in sky blue with the elegant stamped pattern of “falling flowers” you’ve already seen in our S&B Collections.

Handprinted on fine Italian linen, this napkin will make any table setting bright, with just a hint of glimmer for those balmy evenings.

Matching tablecloth available.

Wash at up to 60 degrees on a regular cycle (avoid “eco” or longer cycles).
Never soak for longer than 10 minutes and avoid using Vanish and other whitening products.
Tumble dry at 70 degrees for a soft effect, and 90 degrees for a more crushed finish.
We don't recommend ironing the linen in order to keep the linen’s lovely crumpled texture intact, but we do like to iron the edges to give it a sharper edge.

The Story

The more people there were around the table, the happier our co-founder Bernadette—the meals she prepared for friends were typified by the kind of inspired effortlessness that’s totally unforgettable. Designed here in our Notting Hill studio, we were inspired by the flower she often signed letters with. Following the first of our in-house designed tablecloth, we thought this collection was a perfect way to pay homage to both Bernadette and Summerill & Bishop’s history.
With this sophisticated piece, Bernadette always has a seat at our table. Like all the napkins from this collection, it’s made of 100% fine Italian linen and has a slightly crushed and soft texture, which makes it wonderfully versatile. Hand painted and hand stamped in a centuries-old, family run stamperia in Italy, these linens are equally at home in a casual, outdoor setting as they are as part of a more formal, indoor tabletop.
