Crafted to accompany the ‘Paris Map’ tablecloth, this 100% pure French linen napkin features softly faded cartographic details drawn from an antique map of the city. Rendered in warm sepia tones, the intricate markings and delicate flourishes evoke the charm of historical papers discovered within a forgotten archive.

Both refined and relaxed, the napkins bring a layered sense of story and artistry to the table; equally suited to intimate candlelit dinners, sunlit gatherings or beautifully undone everyday settings.

Designed to mix effortlessly with heirloom linens and collected tableware, the Paris Map napkin adds a subtle sense of wanderlust and timelessness to every place setting.

Linen is much loved for its natural and irregular look. We’ve developed techniques in our manufacturing process to relax and soften the textured surface of the fabric, meaning your tablecloth and napkins may feature some small white spots and areas of fading on its printed surface. These irregularities are normal and make each item entirely unique.

Care Instructions

Wash at up to 60 degrees on a regular cycle (avoid “eco” or longer cycles).

Never soak for longer than 10 minutes and avoid using Vanish and other whitening products.

Tumble dry at 70 degrees for a soft effect, and 90 degrees for a more crushed finish.

We don't recommend ironing the full cloth in order to keep the linen’s lovely crumpled texture intact, but we do like to iron the edges to give it a sharper edge.

Founded by the late June Summerill and Bernadette Bishop, two great friends with a truly effortless and unique sense of style, Summerill & Bishop first opened its doors on 18th May, 1994 in Holland Park, and has remained on the same quiet, leafy corner of Clarendon Cross ever since.

Fantastic home cooks and entertainers both, June and Bernadette were frustrated with the offerings at most kitchen and tableware shops at the time, and with the lack of personality and intimacy, so they decided to create one of their own, where beauty and functionality would both be key.

At Summerill & Bishop we believe that if people take the time to lay the table and present a meal beautifully, they'll enjoy it all the more and create a lasting memory for those who share it with them.
