Waterlily Linen Napkin, 50x50cm
A romantic, Impressionist scene of pale pink water lilies and koi fish that float gracefully across bright blue waters.
The vibrant colours of the linen evoke the tranquillity of a serene water garden, almost like you’ve stumbled into a painting in your own dining room.
The tablecloth and napkin collection invites a sense of peacefulness to the table, with gentle brushstrokes that create the impression of movement and true depth in the water, amidst lush green lily pads. Whether you’re hosting a garden brunch or a romantic candlelit dinner, Waterlily prompts a certain kind of atmosphere that your guests will never want to leave.
Printed on 100% pure French linen. Matching tablecloth available.
An oasis awaits…
Linen is much loved for its natural and irregular look. We’ve developed techniques in our manufacturing process to relax and soften the textured surface of the fabric, meaning your tablecloth and napkins may feature some small white spots and areas of fading on its printed surface. These irregularities are normal and make each item entirely unique.
Founded by June Summerill and Bernadette Bishop, two great friends with a truly effortless and unique sense of style, Summerill & Bishop first opened its doors on 18th May, 1994 in Holland Park, and has remained on the same quiet, leafy corner of Clarendon Cross ever since.
Fantastic home cooks and entertainers both, June and Bernadette were frustrated with the offerings at most kitchen and tableware shops at the time, and with the lack of personality and intimacy, so they decided to create one of their own, where beauty and functionality would both be key.
To commemorate Bernadette's passing, S&B trademarked her signature flower design and designed a beautiful line of linens which launched in Sept 2015. And that is how S&B decided to focus on table linen - the fabric of life.
At Summerill & Bishop we believe that if people take the time to lay the table and present a meal beautifully, they'll enjoy it all the more and create a lasting memory for those who share it with them.
For us, laying the table is an art form that we can all master at home and is one of the simplest ways to tell someone what they mean to you. The table isn't just a place to pass food, you pass tradition, memory, and love, too. Read our full story here...
Never soak for longer than 10 minutes and avoid using Vanish and other whitening products.
Tumble dry at 70 degrees for a soft effect, and 90 degrees for a more crushed finish.
We don't recommend ironing the full cloth in order to keep the linen’s lovely crumpled texture intact, but we do like to iron the edges to give it a sharper edge.
