Upon first glance, you may consider Portuguese Azulejos to be merely beautiful, ornate and elaborate. Their blue and white glaze glistening as the Mediterranean sun reflects from their surface, arranged in striking geometric formation. There is, however, more to Azulejos than meets the eye. The mosaics are created specifically for the architecture which they adorn, meaning their design elements are specific to each building. We were deeply inspired by this dedication to craftsmanship and so created our own Azulejos with subtle nods to the Summerill & Bishop heritage.
