Introducing ‘Hydrangea’ - our ode to a forget-me-not summer.

Designed in collaboration with textile artist Chiara Grifantini, together we sought our inspiration from the blossoming and bountiful hydrangeas planted within the communal gardens of Notting Hill.
Crisp white forms an elegant backdrop to exuberant inflorescences in chalky shades of blue, printed onto a 100% pure linen.
This napkin is the ultimate floral statement, for the happiest of tables.
Perfect for providing that distinctive feel of summer joy to a cosy, winter dinner.

S&B x Chiara Grifantini.

A little message about our printed linens…

Linen is a beautiful and timeless fabric, loved for its natural and irregular look. Due to its textured rough surface and our manufacturing process, developed to relax and soften the fabric, your tablecloth and napkins may have some small white spots and areas of fading on the printed surface, which is characteristic of our technique.  These irregularities are completely normal and make each item truly unique.

Wash at up to 60 degrees on a regular cycle (avoid “eco” or longer cycles).
Never soak for longer than 10 minutes and avoid using Vanish and other whitening products.
Tumble dry at 70 degrees for a soft effect, and 90 degrees for a more crushed finish.
We don't recommend ironing the full cloth in order to keep the linen’s lovely crumpled texture intact, but we do like to iron the edges to give it a sharper edge.

50cm x 50cm / 20 x 20 In.

The Story

The collection derives its inspiration from the blossoming and bountiful hydrangeas planted within the communal gardens of Notting Hill. During those precious walks in the Spring/Summer of 2020, when the world stopped still, the sight of these precious blooms felt almost euphoric. For us, the hydrangea represents growth, vitality, nature and nurture - intrinsic elements to the S&B philosophy that the table is the beating heart of the home and the tablecloth is the fabric of life.
