The pepper mechanism has two helix-shaped rows of teeth that guide and hold the peppercorns for a perfect grind. It has a patented treatment that protects the steel from corrosion whilst maintaining its sharpness and wear resistance. To get the best out of your Peugeot pepper grinding mechanism, we recommend you use peppercorns with a diameter of 5mm or less.
The salt mills mechanism is suitable for grinding large grains of dry sea salt, and not suitable for damp or flaked sea salt. Made from stainless steel it will resist salt's natural corrosive properties. To get the best out of your Peugeot salt mechanism you should use salt with a diameter of 4mm, dry coarse salt: dry sea salt or rock salt.
