The Story

We are longtime collectors of Astier de Villatte’s 18th and 19th century-inspired designs that are imbued with an elegant nostalgia and often, an offbeat sense of humour.
Handmade in Paris by Tibetan artisans, these pieces are crafted from black terracotta using a special technique which leaves deliberate imperfections on the surface and are transformed by a milky white glaze. Delicate though they might appear, these pieces are extremely durable and make wonderful decorative tableware.
