• For best results, allow the candle to burn for approximately four hours when lighting it for the first time, or until the top has fully melted. It may be left burning for longer if desired. After around 20 hours of burning time, the edge will begin to soften and gently bulge. From this point, the candle’s distinctive curling effect will begin to develop naturally. Each candle burns for approximately 3–4 hours per centimetre. The candle will curl open spontaneously and at its own pace. If you wish to encourage a second curl, this may be done carefully once the candle has burned for around 30 hours and one side has developed a raised edge. While the wax is still soft, gently guide the edge in the desired direction, taking care not to apply too much pressure, as this may cause the candle to tear or leak.

Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.

Extinguish any candle that smokes excessively.

Do not burn a candle on a flammable or fragile surface, and never burn a candle all the way through to the bottom, and let it fully cool before safely discarding it.

Although leakage is uncommon, it may occur if the candle is placed in a draught. We therefore recommend always positioning it on a tray or holder with a raised edge.
